Principal Message

August 2025

Dear Alder Creek Families:

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to lead a new school, filled with promise for excellence in education. We are growing!  Alder Creek's enrollment is increasing from 600 student to over 700 students.  With that, we are welcoming new staff members, as well as new students and families. The ACE staff possesses a shared vision of developing a lasting legacy that will produce generations of exceptional students in the years to come.

Over my past several years in administration, I have been fortunate to meet with many parents, teachers and students. From these conversations, it is clear there is a supportive collaboration amongst all stakeholders with the goal of providing the best possible academic experiences for the students in our community. I look forward to continuing to foster relationships and work with faculty and staff to provide a world-class educational experience for each child at Alder Creek.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for over 23 years with a specific concentration in English Language Arts and literacy. In addition to being a classroom teacher, and prior to taking on an administrative role, I served as the district’s Elementary Curriculum Lead Teacher for English Language Arts. In that capacity, I served FCUSD teachers by providing professional learning opportunities and instructional support.  My administrative journey began when I assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Russell Ranch Elementary and Cordova Villa Elementary, followed by Summer School Principal at White Rock Elementary. From there, I served as principal at Mather Heights Elementary for three years, Empire Oaks Elementary for five years, until I took the helm at Alder Creek in 2024. It is an honor to continue to employ my skills as an instructional leader at Alder Creek once again and to engage in partnership with you to ensure your child’s success.

Along with teachers and staff, we work hard to establish a legacy of excellence at Alder Creek. We focus on character education initiatives, social emotional learning, equity and inclusion, Common Core State Standards in ELA and math, and Next Generation Science Standards.  Additionally, we have a collaborative culture and work as a Professional Learning Community, using data to inform our instructional shifts, and provide challenging and engaging enrichment opportunities for all students.

All of us at Alder Creek Elementary are eager and excited to welcome returning students and new students, and begin what promises to be the best year ever.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, support staff, students and families—is excited to be here! I am confident that we can meet the challenges of striving for academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment; an environment where students feel a sense of significance and belonging. I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you. My door is always open and I welcome productive dialogue. I feel truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such an amazing school community where we strive to, “Educate and empower lifelong learners.”

Warmly,

Sara Parenzin, Principal
