Principal Message

Dear Alder Creek Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at Alder Creek Elementary! I am honored to continue serving as your principal and to begin another year filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and success for every student.

Alder Creek continues to thrive as our school community grows. With increasing enrollment, we are excited to welcome new students, families, and staff members to our Coyote family. Together, we are building a lasting legacy of excellence that will positively impact generations of students for years to come.

Throughout my years in education and administration, I have had the privilege of working alongside incredible students, families, teachers, and community members. One thing has remained constant: a shared commitment to providing children with the very best educational experience possible. I look forward to continuing to strengthen these partnerships as we work together to ensure every child at Alder Creek feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

This year marks my third year as principal of Alder Creek and my 25th year in education. My career has included roles as a classroom teacher, Elementary Curriculum Lead Teacher for English Language Arts, Assistant Principal at Russell Ranch Elementary and Cordova Villa Elementary, Principal at Mather Heights Elementary, and Principal at Empire Oaks Elementary before opening Alder Creek in 2024. Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to continuous learning create the foundation for student success.

At Alder Creek, our dedicated staff works collaboratively to foster both academic excellence and the development of the whole child. We emphasize strong character, social-emotional learning, equity and inclusion, and high-quality instruction aligned to the California State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. As a Professional Learning Community, we use data to inform our teaching, celebrate growth, and provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities for all students.

As we begin this new school year, our entire staff is eager to welcome both returning and new students to what promises to be another wonderful year. My goal is for every person who walks through our doors - students, families, staff, and visitors - to feel a genuine sense of belonging and pride in being part of our school community. Together, we will continue to create a positive, safe, and nurturing environment where students are empowered to learn, grow, and succeed.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together throughout the year. My door is always open, and I value the partnership we share in supporting our students. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being an essential part of the Alder Creek family.
