PBIS

Alder Creek is a PBIS School! What does that mean? PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. A couple of weeks ago, we shared that Alder Creek Elementary was recognized for highly effective PBIS implementation. PBIS is a school-wide framework that helps elementary schools create a positive, safe, and predictable learning environment for all students by proactively teaching, reinforcing, and rewarding positive behaviors, rather than focusing solely on punishment. Alder Creek was recognized at the GOLD level, reflecting excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS. We were one of eight schools in FCUSD to receive gold status. Way to go, ACE!  Below is a major component of our system that shows our behavior flowchart.
